The strongest signal this quarter is the move from product announcements to industrialization evidence. The useful dividing line is no longer whether a humanoid can demonstrate a task, but whether a company can show a factory, a customer commitment, operating hours, a contract or a repeatable deployment workflow.

Three themes
01
Europe is assembling a Physical AI supply chain
SECO and NEURA connect compute design and manufacturing to a European humanoid platform. Agile Robots is producing humanoids in Bavaria, Hexagon is training AEON for Schaeffler, and Wandercraft reports customer commitments across five sectors. The pattern is no longer isolated national champions but components of one chain.
02
Commercial proof is becoming measurable
Agility reports more than 65,000 operating hours and over $300M in orders. Boston Dynamics has an operational Atlas training centre inside a Hyundai plant. Path Robotics and GrayMatter hold performance-based shipbuilding agreements. These are auditable quantities, not demonstrations.
03
China is scaling through capital markets and manufacturing
Unitree completed its STAR Market IPO and XPENG Robotics raised more than $900M earmarked for mass production and Physical AI model development. The constraint being solved is production capital, not capability.
What changed
15 existing records updated, 4 companies added. Newest first.
AgiBot and Chimelong launched the first phase of a large-scale deployment with more than 300 robots across entertainment, education, visitor services and hotel operations. The launch coincided with delivery of AgiBot's 20,000th produced robot.
XTEND completed its business combination and began trading on the NYSE as XTND after raising $110M in total capital; September updates also included new U.S. drone-program selections and an expanded Quantum Systems partnership.
Boston Dynamics opened the Robotics Metaplant Application Center inside Hyundai's Georgia plant. Atlas robots are training on real manufacturing tasks, with a roughly tenfold facility expansion planned for 2027.
Agile Robots detailed the production ramp at its new Fürstenfeldbruck humanoid factory, stating that finished Agile ONE units now leave the facility every working day.
Agility unveiled Digit 5 with a 50 lb payload, nine-minute charging and a new cooperative-safety architecture. Early access is planned for H1 2027 and general availability by the end of 2027.
MagicLab used IFA 2026 for its first large-scale European enterprise showcase and announced a partnership with Slovenia's national postal service for flexible automated sorting.
Sea Machines secured a five-year IDIQ contract to supply U.S. Special Operations Forces with drop-in autonomy kits for expeditionary logistics, ISR and maritime security missions.
NEURA Robotics and SECO announced a strategic partnership to design, engineer and manufacture Qualcomm-based compute modules for NEURA's cognitive robots, including 4NE1, and to co-develop Physical AI solutions for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
SECO and NEURA Robotics announced a strategic partnership to industrialize Physical AI in Europe. SECO will work on electronic compute modules for NEURA's cognitive robots and both companies will develop automation solutions for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
Wandercraft announced 12 customers for the Calvin-40 industrial humanoid and said it is preparing to ramp production while expanding manipulation capabilities.
Locus Robotics raised $41.6M in an ongoing Series G backed by existing investors including Tiger Global, Goldman Sachs, G2 Venture Partners and Scale Venture Partners.
Hexagon Robotics placed AEON in Schaeffler's Humanoid Gym for task training and validation ahead of a planned rollout of at least 1,000 humanoids across Schaeffler manufacturing operations.
Unitree completed its Shanghai STAR Market IPO, raising about RMB6.1B ($904M). The listing made it the first publicly traded humanoid robotics maker in mainland China.
HII signed seven-year performance-based agreements with GrayMatter Robotics and Path Robotics covering up to $900M in combined shipbuilding work, conditional on readiness and performance milestones.

Held out of the numbers
Announcements are easy to double-count. These are the figures this edition deliberately did not add to its rollups.
Customer orders, framework agreements and contract ceilings are not funding, and are never added to disclosed funding totals.
Planned unit volumes are never counted as deployed units — Schaeffler's 1,000-humanoid rollout is a plan, not a fleet.
IPO offer valuation and private post-money valuation are labelled as such, and are not presented as current market capitalization.
Nauticus Robotics announced a non-binding letter of intent for up to $50M on 25 September. It stays a monitored signal until definitive agreements close.
